Bioinformatics and Biomedical Signals Laboratory (B2SLab)

The Bioinformatics and Biomedical Signals Laboratory (B2SLab) research group is comprised of expert researchers with expertise in BigData and statistical analysis in bioinformatics and bioengineering. Our group is focused on three main research lines: a) novel methods for the enrichment interpretation and integration of omics data, specially focused on the joint analysis of metabolomics and transcriptomics, b) methodological research of non-invasive biomedical signals, including EEG, EMG and ECG among others, and c) BigData analysis with heterogeneous biomedical content. We have a large expertise in the modelling of risk prediction in the clinical environment. We have strong ties with clinical centres and collaborative projects with other research institutions and companies. Current research interests are focused on the joint analysis of genetic and physiological signals in several areas such as Cardiac Risk Assessment, Anesthesia Depth Assessment.
