FEDER (Federación Española de Enfermedades Raras) (FEDER)

The Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER) was born in 1999 with the aim of being the speaker of the more than three million people who live with any of these pathologies in our country.

Throughout these more than 20 years, we have grown from seven to more than 360 entities and associations that have joined forces. All together, we represent more than 1,200 pathologies and almost 98,000 people.

Despite the decentralization of rare diseases, we have a presence throughout the Spanish geography, and we have expanded our actions beyond our borders.

Besides, we work together with the European and Ibero-American alliances (EURORDIS and ALIBER, respectively) and the International Network for Rare Diseases (RDI).
