Laboratory of Relational Algorithmics, Complexity and Learnability (LARCA)

LARCA is an international research group working on data mining, machine learning, data analysis, and mathematical linguistics. We typically approach problems from sound mathematical principles, using modelling tools and techniques from algorithmics, computational complexity, automata theory, logic, discrete mathematics, statistics, and dynamic systems. We are also collaborate with companies and public institutions to apply our methods to real-world problems involving complex data. In a biological context, LARCA researchers have worked on the statistical analysis of genomes and animal communication and also on the mathematical modelling of some of their statistical properties.

    “Aprendizaje y Comunicación”, Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad TIN2014-57226-P, 2015-207. Devoted to machine learning and the modeling of communication, contains a subproject on "Animal Communication". Most members of LARCA belong to this Project.
